No biggie, Grab a mini!

Beat the heat, GRAB A MINI! That is the best thing to be able to say as this Texas heat gets ramped up around here. But grab a mini? Let's see what that means.

Dreyer's has so many types of ice creams under their brand name. Ever seen the Oreo Sandwich ones? Yep, that's from them. How about Outshine fruit bars? Yep! Theirs, too. So many great flavors. And now, you can get them in mini sizes! These are perfect for parties and get-togethers. More like bite-sized frozen treats. Quick and easy to chow down on. Kids at your house? These are perfect! Smaller hands can finish these off quicker, and save you from chasing them down to clean messes.

They sent me this great party pack. I grabbed up a variety of ice cream minis to share. And then we had some fun with friends. 

What was the consensus?

Oreo was a hit, of course. But adults were loving the Dulce de Leche Haagen Dazs bars. I think that one was my favorite. I loved the small size of the Drumstick Cones mini mini.

They were all creamy goodness, though. I would love to find the mini Nestle Cookie Sandwiches next time. Walmart here only had the Drumstick Cones from the 3 we tried at the party. We had to find the others at our local HEB. 

So next time you are shopping for ice cream options, maybe consider your Mini options! *pun totally intended* There are other flavors for Drumstick minis and Haagen Dazs bars minis that we may one day give a chance to. What about you? What benefit do you see for these? 

Let's Chill with Kinder Bueno Ice Cream!

First off, I love ice cream. But more so, trying new flavors! And this time, I was able to not only try a new flavor, but to have a party with friends and share with them. Let's check it out!

So first off, we have the party pack. This was full of fun things we could share with others. I took an unboxing video. Here you go! 

Now, let's talk ice cream, shall we? I have seen these at my local HEB stores. They come in the personal size (shareable, if you are in the mood). You can find them and the other new flavor, Nutella (AMAZING!), next to them. They sell for $4.37 each here. A little pricey for something so small, but not bad if you are in the mood and treating yourself, ya know?   

We were happy to have caught this sale when we got the ice creams for the party. $1 off each one! And yes, I totally had to grab some Nutella ones. They are soooo good! I got 6 of the Kinder flavors to share at the party. 

Time to party!

Next up, we have party time. We talked to our buddy that has a game store here in town and asked if he and his crew would want to be our party pals.

It was so hard getting everyone together at once, but we managed to break it up and share in the fun. The ice cream was well received by all those who tried it, even those with lactose intolerance wanted to try it. Smooth, rich in flavor and the crunch you recognize from the Kinder Bars! 

What else can you find?

Ice Cream For Summer!

I've been giving various frozen treats a try. Partially from participating in review opportunities. That and it is just sooooo HOT here! Triple degree weather has us trying to stay cool as often as we can.

Ripple Street has been having some bloggers work with Halo Top and Bomb Pops to promote new flavors for summer. I received coupons to get free products and some to give discounts to others. 

First up! 

Halo Top is generally out of our price range. However! That being said, we like it as a special treat for just my husband and I. We get one pint for the 2 of us to share on home date night after the kids go to bed. 

The first flavor we tried was the Strawberry. It was definitely creamier than I expected.

And if I remember correctly, no dyes! (Yes, I'm anti-artificial colors). So those are my pros on that flavor. I was a little sad that the flavoring wasn't stronger though. I love strawberry! So there is the con.

We couldn't have just one flavor though. After all, I needed to know if all the varieties were light on taste in order to be better with creaminess. So we grabbed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. This was a winner! There were many chunks of chocolate chips and cookie dough throughout. When you add Halo Top's signature creamier texture, it is perfection! My husband and I enjoyed it while watching Mythbusters together. And yes, we finished the entire container in that one sitting... Don't judge me! 

Other thoughts....

There are other things to appreciate about this brand, however. Take their sense of humor, for instance. I love being able to smile while indulging in a snack. And their lids hide a great smile-inducing saying that gets me every time.

But wait, that's not all! 

Let us not forget the Bomb Pops we had. Okay, so big sadness is the dyes in these. We won't be buying them very often (if at all). However! The children did really like the Nerds flavor ones that we bought.

They are the perfect size for a quick treat. Which is nice for us as we are super busy with moving. We also brought some to a friends house for our daughters to share while they had a play date. They were quite the hit.

Dive Into Delicious Flavors With ArcticZero!

We love ice cream at our house. Even better when it comes with health benefits. And more so when we can find dairy free ice cream that doesn't hurt my youngest daughters stomach. She can only drink soy milk as she can't handle the proteins in even dairy free milks. So we usually just give her sherbet. Then I came across Arctic Zero!

I was pretty impressed at how creamy these both were. We got the Brownie Blast and the Purely Chocolate. Both are pint sized - perfect size for my husband and I to share. 

Healthier ice cream at its finest! 

Brownie Blast is a Fit Frozen Dessert. It only has 75 calories per serving (there are 4 per pint). It is lactose free, low fat and GMO free. It has some great chunks of brownie and chocolate chips inside  dark chocolate. It was not overly sweet though. Great source of protein and fiber! 

Purely Chocolate was our favorite. It wasn't overly sweet, but doesn't have that "healthy" ice cream taste. And talk about creamy! We loved every bit of it. 40 calories per serving, only 5g of sugar!

Both are made without artificial ingredients. As a matter of fact, I was impressed by some of the things I saw that were in them.  Organic sugar cane and monk fruit are the sweeteners. I had to look up the monk fruit - it is a super fruit. Faba beans are also in these. Whoo! These are low glycemic and gluten-free.

Best of all? 

My toddler, who can't even handle lactose free milk, didn't have a single stomach issue the night we gave her some! Can't tell you how happy it made us. We finally found something besides sherbet that she can have. No more telling her no at parties.
